Chalindrey Grand Est business park
A new-generation container platform and "dry port" for the whole of eastern France
Plans to develop a dual-mode rail/road platform in Chalindrey have received backing from combined and rail transport contractors and local carriers, and aroused keen interest among French and European port authories.
The partnerships formed are all aimed at achieving the same goal, namely to make this railway interchange (a freight marshalling yard on the north-south line from Switzerland and the east bloc countries) one of the main logistics warehouses for the east of France. Its connection to the multi-purpose yards in Vesoul (Franche-Comté) and Gevrey-Chambertin (Burgundy) and its position on the future rail bypass around the Ile-de-France region make it a natural choice as a reference strategic platform.
This groupage platform for freight and new-generation containers can be adapted to changing needs. It can address multi-technique requirements and variable volumes, and is particularly suitable for major import/export markets.
